Social action Mission Team
July 2024- June 2025
We are a very active, hands-on committee that has something for everyone to do – young and old, male and female, members and non-members. We are involved in local, state, national and international projects.
We are always open to new opportunities.
The Social Action Team is responsible for local/world-wide mission and relationships with the general/regional church.

Our current activities are:

- Backpack Blessings – weekend food for grades K, 1, 2 and 5 at Tipton Elementary School
- Mobile Food Pantry - In December, we will give our 100+ blankets to families
- Jubilee Christmas – for up to 20 families and 50 children
- Stitchin’ ,Knittin’ and Knottin’ – a Tuesday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. group that creates prayer shawls, lap robes, baby blankets, frilly scarves, 50 winter caps, 50 fleece blankets
- Recycle plastic and cans
- Collect Box Tops for Education for the free tutoring that serves 60+ children weekly
- Collect pop tabs for Riley Hospital for Children
- Collect hotel toiletries for personal hygiene kits used for the homeless and in Backpack Blessings
- Support youth and/or adult mission trips
- Fill Free Little Pantry stocked daily
- Support local Lions Club with their mission for eye glasses
- Make Little Red Hats for preemies with the American Heart Association
- Support local Bedford and Geneva Christian Camp
- Church World Service Kits
- Heifer Project, International
- Bread for the World letter writing

- SERRV Sale of hand-made crafts by micro-entrepreneurs in third world countries
