Bag of Blessings

Bag of Blessings (previously known as backpack blessings) is a ministry of West Street Christian Church.  It is a way to assist families of school-age children who may experience hunger on the weekends.  Each child in the program is given a backpack every Friday filled with enough nutritious food to feed a family of 4 for the weekend ahead.  We help children at Tipton Elementary and Tri-Central Elementary Schools of Tipton, Indiana.

Other Community
Outreach Programs

Our congregation participates in many community outreach programs.  Pictured below are just a few.

• Service Sunday - our members spend Sunday worship time helping the community! Some deliver flowers to shut-ins, some cut or tie fleece blankets.  We also do landscape work and maintenance at the church and local park.  Some people worked on sorting plastic bottle caps for recycling, or sorting shoes for the Soles4Souls program.
  

• West Street Christian Church sponsors a mobile food pantry as well to provide people and families with grocery and food items.  Click here for the Food Finders Food Bank website.
